Sustaining and Expanding PAX Learning Center
At PAX Learning Center, we believe that real, lasting change begins with strong foundations. Our work—centered on GED and Spanish GED instruction—helps individuals who have been left out of traditional education systems find confidence, knowledge, and community.
This year’s theme, “Leading the Way in Education,” speaks to our commitment to innovation, access, and impact. For many, earning a GED is more than a credential—it’s a turning point. It’s the first step toward better jobs, higher education, and breaking cycles of poverty. We provide the personalized support, welcoming environment, and encouragement that help learners of all ages succeed—on their terms, in their language, and at their own pace.

Through our GED and Spanish GED programs, students are not only building academic skills—they are transforming their futures. With a student-to-tutor ratio of 3 to 1, every learner receives the focused support they need to overcome barriers and reach their goals.

This year marks a milestone as we moved into our new home at the Clark College Columbia Tech Center campus. Having a stable and permanent location allows us to strengthen our foundation while looking ahead. Currently, we are offering two classes, but with more than 50 students on our waitlist, the demand for our programs is greater than ever.
Our goal for this fiscal year is to expand to four classes, doubling our capacity so that more students can access life-changing education. With this expansion comes the opportunity to grow our staffing capacity, ensuring that every student continues to receive the individualized support that sets PAX apart.
