15 Year Anniversary: Resilience and Renewal

On a cold December 8, a woman knocked on a church door and asked if there was somewhere she could sleep that night. She had nowhere else to turn. Invited in and given a safe place to shelter, this was the starting point for The Sophia Way. 

Over 15 years later, the organization serves over 400 women with shelter, safety, and stability. It walks alongside women experiencing homelessness and offers a place of hope and change. 

This year, The Sophia Way is taking an opportunity to celebrate 15 years of resilient women and their path to stability. The organization is hosting a large-scale community celebration (register here), and invites the community to help support this! In doing so, the organization can uphold its values of welcome, inclusion, and community by limiting the financial barrier to participation.
