One of NWSSA's goals is to organize workshops to assist stone carving artists to become more proficient and build on the success from our annual symposia.
We are currently seeking support to sponsor and host a series of workshops and classes for stone carving and local artists. These programs provide more than just technical instruction—they create a space for collaboration, mentorship, and creative growth.
Your contribution would directly support the essential components that make these programs possible, including:
- Rental space where artists can safely gather and create
- Compensation for experienced instructors who guide, mentor and inspire
- Materials and supplies to ensure participants can fully engage without financial strain
In the past, we have offered 1-2 day workshops like banker building (pictured above), pedestal building, and photography of 3-D Art. We also hope to offer more on other topics including; pinning & sleeving, building a shipping crate, polishing, finishing and sealing a sculpture and many more by request of our members.
With your help, we can continue to remove barriers and open doors for emerging and established artists alike. Every donation—no matter the size—plays a meaningful role in sustaining our vibrant, inclusive creative community.
If you’re able to contribute, or would like to learn more about our mission and impact, we would be grateful for your support.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to invest in the arts and the people who bring them to life.
