Who is Food Lifeline, and why Food Frenzy?

Food Lifeline is Washington state’s largest hunger relief organization, dedicated to ending hunger in Western Washington. Last year, they served 1,000,000 people experiencing hunger; 31% were children. Through their network of food pantries, meal programs, and shelters, they served 213,000 meals every day. Our participation in Food Frenzy is needed during the summer months when access to free breakfast and lunch at schools is limited, and parents who are already struggling to make ends meet are forced to make tough choices when it comes to paying for groceries, medication, rent, and utilities. Our support will have a material impact on summer hunger and will help increase access to nutritious, culturally relevant food for thousands of families this summer.
