Welcome! 

Beacon Business Alliance (BBA) advocates with the Beacon Hill business district, and works in coalition with partners across the Rainier Ave corridor in southeast Seattle toward a more prosperous and inspiring future by fostering the intersections of creative, cultural, and traditional enterprises through authentic relationships and community-centered projects. promotes equitable economic development, connects BIPOC- and immigrant-owned small businesses and artists to resources, leads creative placemaking, micro entrepreneur incubation, and fiscally sponsors grassroots community organizations — ensuring that the people who built this neighborhood can continue to thrive in it. Founded as the Beacon Hill Merchants Association in 2013, BBA has held one vision across every evolution of its name: diversity, inclusion, and social justice as a foundation for economic opportunity.

We act as liaison between our neighborhood's businesses and the City of Seattle and its various departments. We regularly advocate for Beacon Hill to have higher visibility at the city level and to increase levels of funding for city projects here.

BBA produced The Business Resource Open House, a free webinar series that brings Seattle's small businesses, non-profits, and experts together to strategize towards an equitable relationship economy.

Beacon Business Alliance also helps to manage EssentialSESeattle.com, a site that highlights small local businesses and BBA offers vital technical support to historically marginalized businesses. It also provides a rich directory of city, state, and national resources - including timely COVID-19 resources.

BBA continues to work on business and streetscapes beautification and accessibility strategies, making our neighborhood safer and healthier for everyone.
