Vashon Artist Residency supports artists by providing time, space, and resources to reflect, create and connect.

Situated on Vashon Island in the heart of the Salish Sea, our waterfront campus offers comfortable, thoughtfully crafted living and working spaces where artists can focus on their practice. Since our founding, we have welcomed more than 220 artists, hosting intimate cohorts throughout the year in two- and four-week sessions.

We believe financial circumstances should never stand between an artist and this experience. That's why we offer a self-determined sliding scale — so this opportunity remains open to all. Vashon Artist Residency welcomes and celebrates artists of all backgrounds, disciplines, identities, races, gender expressions, sexual orientations, and geographic origins. Visual, literary, performing, media, and interdisciplinary artists alike find a home here.
