Kindred Blue Notes is a brand new 501(c)(3) organization whose vision is to

inspire, educate, and empower individuals to learn, create and perform music

that enriches their lives and communities.

How will Kindred Blue Notes bring this vision to life? Well, the

organization began with a committed Board of Directors, Linda Hubert,

Jean Lenke, Margaret Rich and Anita Shaffer, who are providing

collaborative brainstorming and structure as we launch KBN. Tobi Stone,

Artistic Director, has a strong history as a music educator and performer,

teaching groups and individuals from ages seven to 77, inviting community

participation in jazz jam sessions, producing concerts which feature works

of local composers and composers from underrepresented groups, including

queer and POC. Having the additional co-creative potential of a nonprofit

organization will allow me to continue and expand these programs, drawing

more teachers, learners and appreciators into an ever-widening circle.

KBN has also established the Q Notes Fund. This source of financial

support and coaching will help bridge the gap for LGBTQ+ youth and

young adults whose dreams of career paths in performance, teaching and

composition seem miles away. Your donation can change young lives!

This is a unique opportunity to be a Co-Creator of an organization with

far-reaching potential for good in a world that certainly could use some!

We would greatly appreciate your donation.
