MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Kent Community Foundation is to generate and channel support for education and the cultural arts in the greater Kent and Covington communities. We achieve our mission by:

   * Educating our community regarding opportunities to support promising grants and scholarships;
   * Awarding grants for innovative education and community based programs; and
   * Administering student scholarships.

Kent Community Foundation brings people together to invest in education, the arts, and opportunity across Kent and Covington. Since 1986, the Foundation has connected local generosity with real community impact, supporting students, nonprofits, and programs that strengthen the place we all call home.

Scholarships

Education is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen a community.

In 2026, Kent Community Foundation will award more than $135,000 in scholarships, supporting 55 scholarships for 39 local students pursuing higher education and career training.

These scholarships help remove financial barriers and invest in the future workforce, leadership, and vitality of our region.

Grants

KCF provides funding to local nonprofits, schools, and community organizations working in:

• Education and youth development
• Arts and cultural programming
• Community events and access initiatives

These grants support programs that go beyond the basics. They create opportunities for learning, creativity, and connection across our community.
