The mission of the Guild Dance Company is to build a loving community that shares and reflects our stories through contemporary dance creation, performance and education.

Description

the Guild Dance Company was created in 2018 by Artistic Director Alex Ung as a place for artists to have meaningful collaborations. We share our stories, experiences, and memories with our audiences through contemporary dance. The Guild Dance Company is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

 Our 2024-2025 season kicked off with a sold out theWorks2: Reconnected works-in-progress showing in October 2024, and an amazing full show of theWorks2: Reconnected in April 2025 featuring new choreography by artistic director, Alex Ung, The Guild Dance company members, as well as guest artists! We finished with an epic performance on the steps of the new waterfront park in downtown Seattle. 

The 2026-2027 season is going to be so good! We have several upcoming events, including pieces in Seattle International Dance Festival on June 12th at Broadway Performance Hall, kicking off our season with theWorks3: Moving Tales, with a works-in-progress showing on October 23rd and 24th at Yaw Theater and a full show in Spring, 2027.
