Friends of Public Health - Jefferson County

We are in unprecedented times when it comes to state and federal funds for healthcare, and we, the Friends of Public Health believe that all persons deserve affordable access to quality healthcare.  

When we saw the budget cuts coming, we decided to see if we could the lessen the predictable harm these cuts will do to the most vulnerable in the community - those struggling to make ends meet, kids, young families, the elderly, the disabled. 

Friends of Public Health raises funds for the patient-focused care provided by employees of the Public Health Department of Jefferson County, Washington. This patient-focused care includes, but is not limited to, Jefferson County School-Based Health Clinics, Senior Foot Care Clinics, Sexual and Reproductive Health Clinics, Harm Reduction Support, and Teen Resilience Programs. 

Friends of Public Health operates as a Fund of Interest of the Jefferson Community Foundation, and all donations are fully tax deductible. The funds we raise move directly from the Friends of Public Health Fund to the Jefferson County Washington Public Health Department without review or grant process. 

Friends of Public Health also seeks out grants, organizes meetings, and engages in other such activities that the Board deems helpful in support of the Public Health Department of Jefferson County.
