North Cascades Institute inspires environmental stewardship through transformative learning experiences in nature.
Description
Research shows that time spent in nature creates opportunities for hope and healing. After the challenges young people have faced the last few years, getting out in nature—together—is needed now more than ever.
Your donation will help 5th graders in MOUNTAIN SCHOOL explore the forest, hold specimens like bear skulls, examine lichen under a microscope, share a healthy meal with teachers and classmates, and experience nature in a whole new way during a night hike.
Your gift will also help high school students in YOUTH LEADERSHIP ADVENTURES canoe and camp along Ross Lake, practice leadership skills by being leaders of the day, support their peers through challenges, discuss climate change resilience, determine ways to make a greater impact in their communities, and bond as a group under a starry night sky.
And these are just a few of the memorable experiences you can help make possible. Thanks to your generous support, North Cascades Institute can continue to foster equitable access to outdoor spaces with opportunities for young people to discover, reflect, learn, grow and thrive.
Please join us in supporting Give BIG for Youth—and have your gift matched 1:1—by scheduling your donation today!
