Sammammish Animal Sanctuary Rescues

Amelia is a 6-year-old cow that came to the sanctuary because she was blind and had mobility issues as a result of infections after birth. The farm where she was born did not have the capacity to care for her special needs so we stepped in and rescued her from what would likely be an early demise.

Amelia now lives with her 2 goat best friends, Camelia and Dahlia, and enjoys getting daily love and back rubs from the many visitors and volunteers who come to see her every day. She was even featured on an episode of the TV show “Wizard of Paws: Saving Amelia!”

Our sanctuary encounters situations like Amelia’s all too frequently. We have rescued over 100 farm animals over the last decade and are dedicated to giving each animal a second chance to live their best and well-deserved life! Your support helps us facilitate rescues like these!
