Meg's Team Read Giving Extravaganza

Dear friends and family, 

When I saw DogMan the Musical at the Seattle Children's Theatre, I left with the song "DogMan is Go" stuck in my head. Like the characters in the show say, it doesn't really make sense, but when DogMan has a job to do, it kind of does make sense. 

A year later, when I get excited about something at work, I find myself humming "Team Read is Go" because just like the DogMan books, we help kids to find the joy in reading. We do this by matching elementary school students with a teen reading coach. Together these pairs work on phonics, comprehension, fluency, and social emotional learning. 

I love seeing how patient, creative, and committed the teen reading coaches are, and the way the younger students look up to them. It's a fantastic program and I'm proud to be a part of it. 

Summer is around the corner, and we're creating safe and inclusive spaces for summer learning. When you donate, you'll help us make sure that Team Read summer is a memorable and meaningful experience for readers and coaches.
