Soumyo's OA Giving Tuesday Campaign

We’re a team of passionate staff at OneAmerica, coming together this Giving Tuesday to fuel our mission of advancing immigrant and refugee rights. This work is personal to each of us: 

For me, this work is personal because someone's humanity should never be diminished or trivialized just because of their status or where they come from; every human goes through struggles. Yet the way we talk about our communities has become more damaging towards the progress of our movement. But that will never change the fact that our nation was founded as a place where all can come, build a life and inspire the future.

To get there, we must expand unemployment insurance to include undocumented workers. We have the opportunity to expand dual language programs in schools and ensure students’ languages and cultures are celebrated. In our thriving home, families must be together and free from deportation and detention. 

Together, we’re aiming to raise $2,500 to make a real impact—from advocating for policies that protect our communities to expanding access to essential services.
