One thing I've learned in the last few years since both my parents passed away, is that grief continues to show up out of nowhere and at the least likely times. Friends and family can be a very important part of navigating grief after losing a loved one but what I appreciate most about The Healing Center, is having the opportunity to share stories and experiences with others in a group setting who are going through the exact same thing. And because cost should not prevent access to the lifeboat, The Healing Center offers free access to their services to all who seek them out. I want the availability of those free programs to be around for a long, long time. That's why I joined the Board last year and that's why I hope you will join me and consider The Healing Center when choosing a non-profit program to support during this year's GiveBig campaign.
