I’m asking you to please consider making a donation to Northwest Behavioral Associates during Washington Gives’ GiveBIG 2026 event.

You probably know that I’ve spent the last 18 years dedicated to this organization, working to help each learner and family build meaningful skills for everyday life.

What you may not know is that ABA providers are currently facing a significant funding crisis. Insurance coverage often falls short in recognizing autism as a lifelong condition and in supporting the level of care that many individuals need. This results in service denials as learners grow older, as well as limited coverage for services provided by Master's level clinicians.

NBA stands out in a few important ways compared to other ABA organizations in the area:

• We are a local organization (rather than a large, multi-state company)
• We are a nonprofit organization (rather than a for-profit company)
• We are committed to providing lifelong care (rather than aging out at 8-years-old or 18-years old)
• Our Master’s-level clinicians work directly with our learners on a weekly basis (rather than only providing consultation every few months)
