Did you know, that individuals with disabilities face much higher unemployment rates than those without disabilities, due to discrimination, a lack of accommodations, or a lack of employment support? WVS is committed to changing this statistic.
With your donation today, we can narrow the gap on Give Big in 2025. Your donation helps us support individuals in learning independent living skills, building work skills, obtaining and maintaining employment, utilizing their voice in advocacy, and achieving full inclusion in their community.
WVS proudly serves Pierce, King, Snohomish, Island, Skagit, and Whatcom.
WVS's team of Employment Consultants and Job Coaches works to support individuals, transition students, and local businesses in developing successful, innovative career matches.
Our Vision
All people will be recognized for their abilities and contributions in the workplace and community.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to providing outstanding quality services that result in successful community involvement and employment.
Washington Vocational Services (WVS) is a non-profit organization empowering individuals with disabilities to access their communities through employment for the past 49 years. We believe employment, and inclusion is essential and that all individuals deserve an opportunity to contribute to their communities. WVS operates in six Puget Sound counties, providing job search and retention services as well as operating a transition school, the Adult Transition To Independence Center (ATTIC) in Skagit County.
Our approach is strengths-based and person-centered every step of the way.
We accomplish this by:
•Being open to an individual's vision of their success
•Supporting individuals in skill, resume building, job search, and retention activities
•Encouraging growth and development through transition vocational training
•Providing one-on-one, long-term, on-the-job support to individuals as they work
•Enhancing skills and abilities suited to the individual's goals
•Establishing strong connections with community stakeholders and surveying their needs
