Mission

Hugs that Empower's mission is to help people with disabilities improve their walking ability and reach their full potential for a vibrant life, and to aid in filling the gap post-rehabilitation through the TangoStride™ Program, subsidizing classes for those in need.

Description

Hugs that Empower nonprofit provides even people who can barely stand the opportunity to dance to improve their walking through the innovative TangoStride™ Program. The nonprofit offers weekly small-group classes in three locations in the greater Seattle area with a mission to ensure that money is never an obstacle for anyone who wants to participate. Classes serve people whose mobility is limited due to stroke, traumatic brain injury, or neurological conditions such as M.S. and Parkinson's. Empowering people with mobility challenges since 2016.
