$25,000 Goal

We are a proud family of athletes, coaches, volunteers, parents, relatives and caregivers who celebrate diverse abilities and interests through winter sports competition and year-round social activities and events like picnics, hikes, overnights and cultural outings.

Fueled only by volunteers with no paid staff, the Skihawks have come together for over 40 years inspired by the challenges of 70+ athletes of all ages who snowboard, snowshoe and ski across both Nordic and alpine terrain. Our amazing athletes uniformly transform their developmental disabilities into a myriad of gifts readily shared with loved ones and communities across our region.

Even though the Skihawks Racing Team has had official 501(c)(3) status for over 20 years, the team counts on strong partnerships to achieve its winter sports goals. Despite these strong partnerships, the additional services and support we provide our athletes all year long requires significant financial resources. Because the Skihawks are an independent team and not sponsored by a school or parks department, they are not eligible for special program funds. We depend on support from the community for the continued success of the program.

Our athletes would simply not have the opportunity to train and compete in winter sports and experience the joy and support of team camaraderie and companionship without financial support from Skihawks families, volunteers and our community.  For this reason we are reaching out to the broader Puget Sound Community to support our mission. To support our athletes needs for financial assistance, equipment, and transportation during the next season we have set a fundraising goal of $25000. Please help us enrich the lives of our athletes by making a donation.
