Seasons of Growth: Help Local Families Grow Deep Roots

On Whidbey Island, a parent is looking for a place to breathe. To connect. To know they're not doing this alone. Mother Mentors is that place.

We're the only organization on the island dedicated to relationship-based care for families with young children — newborn to five years old. Through in-home mentorship, drop-in Playscapes, and our free Parent Pantry, we meet families where they are with connection, practical help, and community.

The Need is Real, and it's Rising on Our Island

More families are turning to Mother Mentors than ever before. Over 60% of the families we serve report mental health challenges. More than half face significant financial stress. Many are navigating military deployment, parenting without a support network, or simply searching for one place where they can exhale.

All of our core programs have expanded to meet the growing needs of our community. Mentor matches have increased five times over. Playscape attendance has more than doubled. Our two Parent Pantries are busier than ever — providing free diapers, formula, and essentials to families who need them most.

We've Spent Years Putting Down Roots to Meet Families Where They Are

Growth requires deep roots. Mother Mentors has a proven model and is building on our strong foundation to reach more families. We provide a place for families to connect, to find resources and relief.

Over 84% of families say their mental health has improved. 90% report lower stress as a parent. 88% say their child's development has benefited. And nearly half call Mother Mentors a primary source of support for their family.

But for every family we've reached, there's another still looking for us.

This is Our Moment to Grow: Your Gift is a Seed

Like any season of growth, deep roots require nourishment. Your gift this spring is that nourishment — it is what allows us to say yes to the next family who finds us.

Your gift of any size helps us open pantry doors more hours, match more families with mentors, and reduce barriers to access for families across languages, locations, and abilities. Every dollar goes directly to the programs Whidbey families count on every week.

Families need strong roots to thrive, and they're not meant to grow alone.

"This program saved my mental health when we first moved to Whidbey for the military. It helped me immediately plug in with other moms, make friends, and get the pulse on what's happening in town."

"The Parent Pantry was incredibly helpful in ensuring we had diapers to last between paychecks. I cried in my car after because of how thankful I was."

"I can't imagine navigating motherhood without Mother Mentors."

Strong roots, thriving families. Give today.
